Wonders WorkshopTHE BLACK CONCORD
A vast candlelit gothic archive of stone vaults, gold inlays and shelves of ancient records

THE BLACK CONCORD · READER MATERIALS

THE BLACK ARCHIVE

History leaves records. So does conquest. Beyond the two novels, the reader vault holds illustrated documents and visual companions that deepen the world without replacing the books.

The reader records

Two volumes. Two separate archives.

Each volume has its own protected collection of companion materials. Use the code printed inside your copy of the corresponding book to enter the existing Reader Vault; the books remain the primary story.

Book One · Start here

The Kingdom She Broke

Return to the erased province, the Night of Closed Gates and the biological realities behind the Veyr. These materials expand the history you encounter in Book One.

  • The Closed Gates Archive — illustrated historical record
  • The Red Ledger — a field file on Return, Echo and survival
  • Desktop and mobile wallpapers

Book Two · Story spoilers

The King She Bound

Explore the obligations and political machinery of the Concord Crown after reading the second novel. This volume’s files discuss developments that should remain discoveries in the story.

  • The Concord Crown Registry — institutions and administration
  • Desktop and mobile wallpapers

Access is included with the book: no new account or email address is required. Keep your volume code private. Book Two materials contain spoilers; finish the novel before opening its archive.

Inside the records

Four files that deepen the novels

The archive is a collection of in-world reference materials. Each record follows a different question raised by the duology, so you can revisit a subject without searching through a whole book. The documents are companions, not missing chapters or required explanations of the ending.

01 · BOOK ONE

The Closed Gates Archive

The destruction of Sareth was not simply the beginning of a war. This illustrated historical file revisits the Night of Closed Gates and the deliberate destruction of names, sanctuaries and public memory. It is for readers who want to understand why an inherited account of peace is contested.

Best explored after Book One introduces the historical wound.

02 · BOOK ONE

The Red Ledger

For the Veyr, blood is not just gothic imagery. Their survival has practical rules: the Return, the Echo, feeding, decline and the social systems created around a finite resource. The Ledger approaches these subjects as a field reference rather than a romantic myth.

Use alongside the public Veyr guide.

03 · BOOK TWO

Articles of the Black Concord

A political agreement can prevent immediate destruction while creating new obligations. This record looks at the language and consequences of the Black Concord: sovereignty, compliance and the distance between a negotiated order and genuine freedom.

Contains Book Two context; finish the novel first.

04 · BOOK TWO

The Concord Crown Registry

Who keeps a conquered realm functioning? The Registry focuses on institutions, administrative responsibilities and the tense relationship between crown, household and government. It follows the political consequences rather than repeating the novel’s central scenes.

Contains Book Two context; finish the novel first.

Access without guesswork

How the Reader Vault works

01

Find your volume's code

Open the Black Archive page inside your copy of the book. The printed access code identifies the volume, so Book One and Book Two open different packages.

02

Enter it in the vault

Use the code exactly as printed, in uppercase, at the official access gate. You do not need to create another account or provide an email address.

03

Choose what to explore

Open the illustrated files or download wallpapers sized for desktop and mobile. The materials belong to the volume you unlocked, so keep the books in reading order.

What you can explore without a code

The interactive atlas, the world guide and the character introductions remain open to every visitor. They are designed to introduce the setting without giving away the second book's major developments.

What stays protected

The volume-specific PDFs and downloadable visual packages belong in the Reader Vault. Book Two material contains later political context; the protected entry lets readers choose when they are ready to explore it.

Reader questions

Before you open a file

Do I need the archive to understand the novels?

No. Both books tell the story in full. The companion documents offer additional context and atmosphere for readers who want to spend longer in the setting.

Can I unlock both volumes with one code?

No. The access gate identifies each volume separately. Use the code printed in the book whose materials you wish to open.

Are there spoilers?

Yes, particularly in the Book Two files about the Concord Crown. Read the second novel before opening its protected documents. Public guides and the interactive map also label later-story content.

Where do I find the official entry point?

Use the The Black Concord Reader Vault. You can also find it from the permanent Wonders Workshop Black Archive, which lists companion records from all collections.
