BOOK 3 · THE BLACKMERE FILES
The Archive Under Glass
What happens when the evidence survives?.

The archive, the lives inside it and the cost of disclosure
The Archive Under Glass
The final book turns the accumulated questions toward an archive: shelves, transparent cases, photographs, recordings and records of family life. Preservation can protect history. It can also place intimate lives in the hands of those who control access.
Elianor’s work becomes inseparable from a moral problem. A record may contain a necessary fact and still expose someone who never consented to become a case study.
The atmosphere is that of an archive under glass rather than a villain’s secret lair. Its horror is administrative and human: what was collected, who can interpret it and who is allowed to reclaim a story.
Read this after the first two. It completes the trilogy’s movement from a remembered room to a question about the custody of truth.
