The Harrow Saint returning near a pale discontinuity

The Pale Sequence

THE RETURN

They were declared dead. Then their ships came back.

Twelve years after its destruction, the Harrow Saint reappears in the Orion Verge. Its crew is alive and believes only three hours have passed. Captain Lena Cross and the Asterion must determine what has returned — and why its records contradict official history.

First contact

A signal out of darkness

Twelve years after the Harrow Saint was declared destroyed, the battleship appeared again in the Orion Verge — with active systems and a living crew.

The Asterion was assigned to investigate and contain the vessel. Its recovered crew believed the original battle was still underway; their records did not match the Union Naval Authority’s history.

A returned discontinuity vessel

The Harrow Saint

The Harrow Saint is the first major Returned Discontinuity Vessel (RDV): a physical battleship declared destroyed twelve years earlier, now back with fuel, weapons, damage, and living people aboard. Its logs describe events missing from official archives.

Contradictory records

Logs that do not align

CASSIA detects impossible timestamps in the Harrow Saint’s logs. The people aboard remember a war that official records cannot account for. Even their sense of elapsed time conflicts with the twelve-year gap in the archives.

Questions without answers

The Harrow Saint is only the beginning. When further returned vessels appear and secret UNA procedures surface, Lena must decide whether protecting the evidence matters more than obeying the orders meant to bury it.
