How it works
Better results
Strong dark-on-light contrast, a clean border and an uncluttered logo help camera scanners. A pale gradient or oversized logo can make even a pretty code unreadable.
Test it on several phones at the actual size before using it on packaging, posters or printed books.
A few useful answers
No. These are static QR codes and do not expire. For website codes, the linked page must remain available. No subscription is required to keep the code working.
Not with a static code. It contains the original content permanently. If the URL changes, generate a new code, or use a stable URL on a domain you control.
No. Generation, image processing and downloads happen locally in your browser. Your Wi-Fi password becomes part of the QR code itself, though, so don't share that QR publicly.
SVG is a scalable vector image, so it stays crisp at any printed size. PNG is handy for digital sharing; choose the highest resolution that suits your design.
The generator checks foreground and background contrast to reduce unreadable designs. Darken the code, lighten the background, or start from one of the safe presets.
